The Gateway is only compatible with 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi networks. If there are no Wi-Fi networks showing in the app, that the Gateway can connect to, there are no compatible networks in range

  • Check that the Wi-Fi router is on and OK
  • Check that the Wi-Fi network is 2.4 and is not a hidden network
  • Check that the Wi-Fi networks does not have any special security, access settings or firewalls setup on the Wi-Fi network
  • Check that the routers 5 and 2.4 Ghz networks, do not share the exact same name (SSID). For example, if the 2.4 and 5 networks are named ‘smithhome’, and there is only one network name, though there is physically a 2.4 and 5Ghz network. You would need to access the Wi-Fi router settings and change one of the networks to have its own unique name. For this example, you could name the 2.4 network ‘smithhome2_4’ while the 5 keeps the original name of ‘smithhome’. After words, you would see two networks, the 5Ghz ‘smithhome’ and the 2.4 network ‘smithhome2_4’
