Once you replaced your Z-Wave motor, you will need to add the shade to the remote and adjust the lower limit. Please use these instructions.
If not connecting to a Home Automation System, skip to step 5
- If applicable, include/enroll your shades in the home automation app. (Ignore this step if you don't use a home automation system.)
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
See your home automation system’s instructions for details. - On one of your shades, press and hold the program button for 3 seconds. When the shade LED flashes green, release the button.
The shade should appear as a found Z-Wave device in your home automation system’s user interface. - Repeat the steps above for each shade.
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
- If applicable, include/enroll your remotes in the home automation app. (Ignore this step if you don't use a home automation system.)
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
See your home automation system’s instructions for details. - On one of your remotes, press and hold the program button on the back for 3 seconds. When the remote LED flashes green, release the button.
The remote should appear as a found Z-Wave device in your home automation system’s user interface. - Repeat the steps above for each remote.
- From your home automation system’s user interface, select the option to enroll a new Z-Wave device.
- Set up the automation features within the home automation app to operate multiple shades within a group. (Ignore this step if you don't use a home automation system, or if you don't want to operate multiple shades within a group using the home automation system.)
- Associate/add an individual remote to each shade for individual control when using Home Automation (skip to step 5 if not using home automation) by doing the following:
On the remote control, press and release the program button on the back of the remote. (LED will flash green)
On the shade, press and HOLD the program button for 3 seconds. When the shade LED flashes green, release the button
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each shade you want to control with a remote.
5. Associate/add an individual remote to each shade for individual control when not using Home Automation by doing the following:
On the remote control, Quickly press and release the program button twice. (LED will alternate amber and green)
On the shade, press and HOLD the program button for 3 seconds. When the shade LED flashes green, release the button
Next, the lower limit will need adjusted on the shade.
- On the remote, press and release the DOWN button. Wait until the shade reaches its preset lower limit.
- Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. When the remote LED turns amber, release both buttons. The shade will jog.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to move your shade to the new lower limit.
- Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. When the remote LED turns amber, release both buttons. The shade will jog. This means you've set your new lower limit!
Repeat steps all steps for each motor that is replaced.
