I'm having trouble adjusting my limits in the app.

If you are experiencing issues adjusting your shade’s parameters through the app over Bluetooth:

  1. Open the Motorization app. Within the “Shades” tab, if the app starts in “room view,” tap on the existing room the shade is assigned to. Locate the individual shade that needs to be adjusted and tap the settings (gear) icon for this shade.
    1. Alternatively, search for the shade by name by tapping the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the “Shades” screen.
  2. On the settings screen, tap which parameter to adjust:
    1. Upper or Lower Limit:
      1. If your shade is Bottom Up/Top Down (BU/TD) you will need to select which rail you are working with at the top of the screen, after selecting upper or lower limit.
      2. Over Bluetooth, the shade does not need to be at the “current” limit to begin adjusting. It should jog where it is at when you start the process. The LED on the shade should begin alternating green and red.
      3. Use the up and down arrows to adjust the shade to the desired limit.
      4. Tap “Save” and the shade should jog again to confirm.
    2. Bottom/Top Stack (BU/TD Only):
      1. A preset position that, by default, covers half of the window. Bottom stack covers the bottom half of the window, leaving the top open, while top stack covers the top half. This impacts the two buttons that show the bottom half or the top half of the window open in the “shades” screen.
      2. Adjust either or both rails to new desired stack position. Use the arrows to adjust both rails at once, assuming one is not already at its upper or lower limit.
      3. Tap “Save” once the rails are at the desired position.
    3. Favorite Position:
      1. Note: If your upper or lower limit needs to be adjusted, adjust them first. Adjusting either the upper or lower limit will reset the favorite position to be 50% of the length of the shade.
      2. The screen will bring up a full screen slider view for the shade; you can use the slider to move the shade to about where you want it to be. If small adjustments need to be made, use the arrows at the bottom of the screen.
      3. BU/TD: Note the arrows at the bottom of the screen will move both rails together, unless it would move a rail into its limit (i.e. the up arrow will not move the intermediate rail if the intermediate rail is already raised all the way).
      4. Sheer shades: Your lower limit should be set with the shade down and the slats tilted open. The shade is shipped with a factory set favorite position with the shade down and the slats tilted closed. If your limits were adjusted, you would need to re-adjust your favorite position to achieve this behavior again.
      5. Layered shades: Your lower limit should be set with the shade down and the stipes unaligned – preventing visibility through the shade. The shade is shipped with a factory set favorite position with the shade down and the stripes aligned. If your limits were adjusted, you would need to re-adjust your favorite position to achieve this behavior again.

Note: If any of the above steps do not work initially, disconnect the shade from power for more than 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds have passed, plug the shade back into power and try the adjustment again.
