Z-Wave: How do I adjust my upper limit using a Premium Multi-channel Remote?

The upper limit of your shade is factory preset to an open position. However, you might want to adjust the upper limit to accommodate window hardware or other obstructions. Adjusting the upper limit is easy!

 

If you are using the Z-Wave Standard or Plus remote, click here for proper steps.   

 

NOTE: The shade number does not always match the channel number the shade responds to. If you are not sure which shade number a specific shade is: hold down the menu/right button, scroll down to zwave and tap the menu button on zwave and then scroll down to associate and tap the menu button on associate. Then hold the button on the shade until the led flashes green. The screen will display the shade number for that shade.

 

Adjust the Upper Limit: Multi-Channel Remote

  1. Press and hold the menu/right button paddle switch labeled MENU for two seconds until the menu appears displaying 4 lines of text CHANNEL, SHADE, ZWAVE, and BATT OK.
  2. Scroll down to and tap the menu/right button briefly on SHADE, scroll down to tap the menu button on LIMITS.
  3. Press and hold the menu/right button for 2 seconds, to proceed past the warning message. 
  4. Tap left or menu/right to select the shade number you want to adjust the upper limit for. 
  5. Press and hold the menu/right button for 2 seconds on UPPER.
     If the shade isn't already at the current upper limit, it will move to that position. If the shade is already at the current upper limit, it will jog.
  6. Move the shade using the up and down buttons to where you would like the new limit to be. Note: If the shade does not move in response to tapping or holding up or down buttons while the screen displays SHADE x ️down arrow, up arrow️ to adjust. Wait for the remote to time out and disconnect the shade from power for 30 and return to step 1.
  7. tap the menu/right button briefly to confirm the current position as the shades new upper limit.

NOTE: If you don't press any buttons for 10 seconds while you're making these adjustments, the remote will time out. If that happens, restart step 1.
