If your shade has been assigned to the wrong room, assigned the wrong name, or a new room was created after the shade was already set up, you may need to edit the shade name or room assignment after the fact:
Open the Motorization app. Within the “Shades” tab, if the app starts in “room view,” tap on the existing room the shade is assigned to. Locate the individual shade that needs to be adjusted and tap the settings (gear) icon for this shade.
Alternatively, search for the shade by name by tapping the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the “Shades” screen.
Within the settings page, it lists the shade name, followed by the room it is assigned to.
To edit the shade name, tap in the name field. You can then delete what is entered currently and re-type it or make smaller corrections.
To edit the shade’s assigned room, tap on the room listed as its current assignment (just below the shade name):
A list of existing room names will populate. Tap the room you want the shade to be assigned to.
Android – Simply tapping the room will apply it to the shade and take you back to the “settings” screen, reflecting the new room in the settings.
IOS – Once you have selected a room (shown by the radio button to the right) tap the “x” in the top left corner of the pop up to apply your choice and go back to settings. The change should reflect in the setting screen
If the room name you want to assign the shade to does not exist, click here for instructions to set up a new room. Once the new room is created, follow steps 1-3 to assign the shade to the newly created room.
