How Do I Pair a Smart Plug With a Damaged or Missing QR Code?

Modified on Thu, 7 May at 2:53 PM

If the QR code for the smart plug is missing or damaged, refer to the instructions below to pair the smart plug:

Log into the Tahoma Pro app

  1. If the Tahoma Switch has already been registered to the dealer, select “Access an Active Tahoma Switch, then select “Yes”, then either enter the PIN code for the Tahoma or select “Scan the Tahoma QR code” at the bottom of the screen.

  1. If the Tahoma has not been registered yet, select “Register a Tahoma Switch” and complete the registration/set-up process.

  1. Select “Add device”, then select “Zigbee” for the protocol, then select “Continue”, then select “I don’t have a QR code”

  1. Select “next” to open the Zigbee network in unsecured mode.  You will have 3 minutes to add the device.

  1. If the smart plug is not plugged into an outlet, please plug it into one.

  1. If the light is flashing yellow/green it is ready to be paired.

  1. If the light is not flashing yellow/green, press and hold the button on the side of the plug until the LED turns solid red, then release.  It should now be flashing yellow/green and be able to be paired

  1. Once the device is discovered, follow the prompts to finalize the pairing of the smart plug
