RTS: How Do I Add A New Shade Or Controller With A 120v Motor?

NOTE: If your shade is not plugged in to an outlet and is wired directly to power, you will need to contact an electrician to complete these steps.

Adding a new shade or controller:

1. Start with the shade connected to power.
   
   
2.  Perform a Dual Power Cut by disconnecting the power for two (2) seconds, connecting it back to power for ten (10) seconds, disconnecting it again for another two (2) seconds, then connecting it back to power one final time. The shade will jog (short up/down motion).
   
   
   
   
3. With the remote you want to control the shade, select the channel, if applicable, using the button at the bottom of the remote until the correct channel light is flashing.
   
   
4. Using a small item, like a paperclip, quickly press and release the programming button located on the controller. The shade will do a jog to confirm that it is now paired to the controller.
   
   

All previous settings, including the upper limit, the lower limit, and the intermediate or “MY” position are still set. Follow the appropriate link below for instructions if you want to change the upper limit, lower limit, or the “MY” position.
